You know, I've been getting the sinking sensation lately that it would really be better if I got the worst of a situation. It seems like every time I get off comparatively lightly in the Nexus, everybody else seems to get it worse, and it ends up being a big huge event instead of some tiny little one. That just seems... I don't know, wrong, somehow. Like I should be taking a bigger piece of the pie for the sake of other people.

It's silly, I know. But when I see Pearls and Edgeworth like that, and all my other friends swapped... I don't know. I just feel a little guilty somehow.

...Max is kinda pissed about the makeup though. I suspected as such.

Don't worry about it. I'm positive this is going to get resolved. A little angst is nothing.

That would definitely be a plus. I still need to get on his case to make sure he's been looking for help for some of his other problems too. He's had... a really hard life that he doesn't talk about much. I only found out on accident. I want to help him better himself, you know?

If he does anything to the hair, I'm shaving my head and wearing a hat for the next few weeks. I swear it.

That's good... um, Mia? Forgive me if I'm being nosy, but... what's your opinion of Edgeworth, anyway? I mean, I gave you my impressions, and, well, I'm just sort of curious.

You should. He needs a friend like you to help him out. Share some of your confidence and knowledge with Li; as I'm sure he can use it. There's always someone whom we can learn from, and someone to teach. That's the way the world works.

Then what are you going to do if you have court? I doubt they'll let you wear a hat, if you decide to shave your spikey hair off.

...Edgeworth. You about DL-6 and what it did to us; it destroyed both of our lives forever. I know that he can be cold and emotionless at times, but I give him my sympathy anyways. Because I feel a connection to him. We feel the same emotions and pain, which in a way, binds us together. It's just like when me and you met for the first time.

I'll do my best. I've already altered the path of one of his alternates, I think; maybe I can do it for him too. And, well, after this he's probably going to need all the friends he can get.

...I have no clue. But I think they'd look at me funny if I went into court with Max's idea of appealing hair. Ugh.

I... I see. So it's just friends, right? I mean, close friends, like you and me. N...not that I'm insinuating anything! Um.

You can, and I know it. Just believe in yourself, Phoenix Wright. After all, you have what it takes to make things right. Like the way you're helping me.

Yeah, it sounds like you might have a problem there. I guess a solution will come up when the times comes...hopefully.

Nick. We're just friends. Anything beyond that is hopeless for me. I've already gotten someone close to me killed, because of my mistakes. I won't bring that upon you or Edgeworth either.

He died because I couldn't stop something from happening. But, between you and me Nick, I heard from him...through the Nexus.

...It was through some weird mailman. He gave me an unlabeled package while I was in the Nexus one day, and inside was some of 'his' possessions, with a note.

The Nexus mailman? That guy's weird. He ran up to me and delivered some weird looking hat to me. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that was the route you got the message through.

I'd ask for details, but I told you I wouldn't, so...
