Three days.
Three GODDAMN days.
Somewhere, someone has just taken three days out of my life. I don't know what they did or why they did it. But because of whatever they did to me in those three days, the stupidest, easiest tasks are suddenly impossible for me to do. They didn't just damage my brain, they TOOK parts of it. Can't write, can't make a sandwich, can't tie my damn TIE...
I'm going to find them. I'm going to find them, and I'm going to drag the truth out if it kills me. They thought if they erased my memory, they could bury what they did, but they can't. They messed with the wrong lawyer.
I WILL find them. And I will reveal them for who they are, and what they did.

Do you have any idea who could've done this?

I'll let you know if I find anything. In the meantime, don't strain yourself over it. You need to maintain some of your intelligence, after all.

If you need medical assistance, I can recommend a very good neurobiologist.
Re: [text]
If you're referring to Clair, she's the doctor I pulled at the Clinics. Pretty lucky, actually.
Re: [text]
Yes, Clair is the one. I'm glad that she could help you; even if she can be a bit too experimental at times, I trust her and her skill as a doctor.
Re: [text]
Yeah, she seems to really know what she's doing.

Are you going to need my help with anything, Phoenix? I don't know exactly what I can do, but I figure that it's still best to ask.
no subject
I appreciate the offer, Mia, but I'm not sure what you can do. Hell, I'm not sure what I can do right now. But I'll figure something out. Somehow. Still, if I think of anything, I'll let you know.
no subject
Well, even if I can't help you get mentally back in order, I could at lease help you with any of those tasks you've forgotten.
I'm sorry, but hearing that you couldn't make a sandwich got a small laugh out of me.

Thanks. I'm sort of getting the hang of writing again, but I could use a little help with the whole stupid tie thing, which is just ridiculous frankly.
...I, uh, am happy to amuse? It IS kind of a stupid thing to forget.
no subject
...Hehe. I'll give you a hand with that if you want. I've had experience with ties in the past, so it's nothing new to me.
I guess so. You'll be relying on take-out and ramen noodles until you remember, it seems.
no subject
Yeah, uh, thanks. (This is really, REALLY embarrassing.)
Looks like it. I'm sure Maya won't complain. I see a lot of burgers in my future.
no subject
Hehe. Oh Nick, at least you aren't complaining about me helping you.
Well, at least it's not T-Bone steaks. Otherwise, you'd be broke by the end of the week.
no subject
Well, the way I figure, the sooner I remember how to do this stuff the better. I certainly can't look any MORE stupid.
Yeah. Boy, T-Bone steaks. You should've seen her salivating during one of my investigations. The cast and crew of the studio we were looking into had apparently had t-bone steaks for lunch. You'd be surprised how handy that was.
no subject
Don't jinx yourself there. At least things are starting to improve.
I can imagine. If you don't watch Maya carefully, her appetite will empty your wallet. Of course, there's other things than food that she spends money on. I'm her sister, so I'm coming from personal experience, at least form the way my Maya acts.

Oh, yes, I forgot about Murphy's Law for a minute there. Silly me.
Yeeeeeah, that sounds about right. I swear she ate half the banquet we got after we saved her. It was... amazing. And then there's her various collections of hero toys...
[locked]
Looks like someone needs to get back to studying. I'm just kidding actually.
Oh yes. Her collection of Steel Samurai toys is unearthly. She actually has me buy them for her and then send to Kurain Village afterwards.
Phoenix, you haven't seen anything yet until you have a toy-store clerk giving you funny looks for buying figures. Especially if you give them the excuse that it's for your little sister.
Re: [locked]
What else... uh, he gets behind whatever he's doing one hundred percent, that's for certain. It's a trait he had even as a kid. He's kind of arrogant, but I suppose growing up in a rich family will do that. But he's very helpful if he's not the one up against you in court. That's about it, I think... I'm still trying to figure him out more myself.
Yeesh. I think I know what look you're talking about.
Re: [locked]
Phoenix, you've helped me out so much just now. I'll pay you back for all of this information in the future. This is just what I needed to solve something I was working on. Now I just need to get that last thing resolved...
Yeah. Glad that we see eye to eye there. Tell your Maya I said hi when you see her next anyways.
Re: [locked]
...No no, never mind. I get the feeling you don't really wanna discuss it with me, for some reason. (You know that's going to drive me nuts, though.) Just... um, whatever it is, you know you can talk to me about things, right? Okay.
Will do.
Re: [locked]
Phoenix, you're correct. I can't tell you all or any of what's going on. I have to solve this by myself for personal reasons. I'm sorry. But, I want you to know, that you've helped out so much just now. Thank you.
...I should get going. I have one last person to talk to before I can close the cover on this case.
Re: [locked]
I'll see you later, then.
Re: [locked]
...Yeah. I'll see you around, Phoenix.
