PLANEOCRACY: The mole
When Nerine arrives, the room is dark, with only Phoenix inside, looking nervous. His face lights up when she arrives. "Oh! Great! You made it! I was worried... I need to tell somebody about this, and you're the first person I thought of I could talk to about it."
There's a curious element to his overall stature; on the one hand, he seems nervous, but close observation reveals a lack of nervous movements that might be associated with such a manner. Odd...

"Then it's as we feared...?"

In the darkness, she might miss his eyes dart slightly off to the left.

Far too fixated on finding out who the mole could be, she misses the movement of his eyes entirely.

However, the heavy hilt of a great sword aiming for the back of her head would be of more immediate concern.

"What is the meaning of this!?"

He spreads his arms out and shrugs.
"Me."
He walks over to the door, ensuring that it's shut while his boss does the dirty work.

Confusion quickly gives way to rage as a magical aura wraps around her, although the presence of the stranger tempers her wrath into caution.
"Why would you do something like this!?"
no subject
"Sorry. Orders are orders. This place is too much trouble for our group. It just... has to go."
He smirks.
"But hey! You may serve a purpose yet. If the boss decides you do, anyway. Speaking of, boss?" He looks at the other man in the room. "We'd probably better finish this quickly. I need to get back before people suspect anything."

"Surrender peacefully or I shall smite you where you stand, Demon." The man places the sword back and reaches his hand out, chanting - the words sounded wrong, like a child playing with their parent's bones - that the words are not suppose to exist.
Nerine may feel the creeping edge of fear biting at her nerves.

Why? She had been trying so hard to become more confident... More sure of herself. It had taken a long time, but she thought here she would finally be able to change herself. But at a time like this she was losing her strength of will?
"I have to help... everyone!" Rather clumsily and desperately, she gathers together all the magical energy she can summon up and hurls it at the new man. But that alone seems to take everything out of her, as she feels her knees buckling uncontrollably and she falls to the ground.

He exits, shifting back into his previous persona in the meantime. It's a chilling sight.

"Take the girl, but leave her unharmed, and we shall leave." The Aasimar commanded the creature, who chitter and hiss in response as it reaches over to scoop her up in it's rough limbs.
