It's been a while since I've written in this, but my mind's been so messed up since last night that I thought maybe putting this stuff down might help.
I met a figment from the future the other day. Or a possible future, perhaps, I couldn't say. And what I found out about the future was upsetting, to say the least. The idea that I could possibly be disbarred, let alone disbarred for using false evidence, is nuts -- and yet, if that asshole from the future is to be believed at all (an admittedly hard thing to do, but he DID seem to have specifics), that's exactly what could've happened if he hadn't spilled the truth to me before realizing I wasn't the man from his time.
And now I'm left wondering -- if I do this, and save my career, and avert this future, what am I changing? I've seen the effects of a person from the future altering the past of another world -- I'm the one that did it myself. Is it the right thing to do? Should I just let things pass, even if it means doing something that goes against my very moral fiber and losing the career I've slowly grown to love and embody? Or do I fight against that fate, knowing I could possibly be changing things completely in doing so?
Who is this Trucy, this Apollo Justice? How much would I be changing by shifting things for my own benefit?
And... who is this Kristoph Gavin, and what exactly did I do to him that he'd be so full of hate for me?
Hell, is it even the future, or just an alternate world? We haven't even confirmed THAT much.
It's all a confusing mess. Time, space, the Nexus screws these things up so much. What does it all mean?
