RP POST: The Game Begins
Not much time.
Phoenix knows it's only a matter of time before the cops catch on to his absence. Because of the manner of his escape, however, he figures he has a little extra time just because of the confusion, and how quickly he's able to get where he needs to go.
He can't stay in his apartment. It may be in the Nexus, but the door has a tendency to link straight to the apartment itself whenever others try to enter. (He established this when the superintendent came by once to report a few changes going on around the building. It was a good thing then, and probably still a good thing now.) He can't enter his apartment from his door either, since that puts him right into the main lounge. And because it's not his own personalized PIN, he can't go straight into the apartment either. So he teleports into the hallway connecting the siderooms to the Sanctuary.
Not much time. He's gotta get what he needs and split.

It looks like a harmless brown box, unmarked and not ticking.

He bends down and picks it up. His stomach clenches a bit. I don't... really want to open this...
Swallowing, he slowly unwraps the package and peers inside.

One is a PINpoint.
The other is a clump of silvery grey hair, tied together.
The third.. is a piece of paper, with the following words written neatly:
The sun mirrors reflections
With shimmering light.

Oh Christ... Edgeworth...
He forces his breathing to calm down, and reads the paper. He frowns. A... haiku? There must be a riddle attached to it... but he could think about it later. Right now he needed into his apartment.
There was one good thing about having Edgeworth's PIN, though -- it would get through the PINProofing of his apartment. Which was especially a bonus considering Phoenix just now realizes he doesn't have his keys.
Damnit.
He PINs in with it, and moves quickly. Finding a dufflebag, he stuffs several days worth of clothing in, and changes out of the jumpsuit provided to him by the jail. A few necessities, some cash he kept on hand in case of something stupid like losing his debit card (or, in this case, having a debit card that would work like a homing beacon for the police), and...
He picks up the hat, analyzing it. It was an odd light-blue color, with "PaPa" stitched on the side and a badge not unlike the ones Ema used to sport attached to it. At the time, he'd thought it was pretty gaudy.
However, considering the distinctiveness of his hair...
He puts it on. There. With everything together, he takes one last look at the place.
Ivy... better hold off on that bed. Don't know if I'll be coming back.
He shudders a bit and PINs out.
