Phoenix drums his fingers. It shouldn't be this hard to make a phone-call to someone he likes, yet his palms are sweating a bit. Maybe it's the manner of which their last date ended, or maybe it's just romantic butterflies. But he's finding himself hesitating a bit on picking up the phone and just DIALING.

He takes a deep breath. Act first, think later, Phoenix. Go... NOW.

He picks up the phone and dials hastily, then waits for a reply.

She giggles just a bit. "You know, you're rather fun. You always wonder. And it's sweet."

"Well. I don't like your court system. It rorally sucks. It's so...not right." She grumbles lightly. "i'd go insane with that."

She freezes and listens. "...Rea-Really? You think so. It...It would be nice. To get to see you."

"Y...you think so? Uh, th...thanks. You're so understanding. It's great." He still feels embarrassed, but for different reasons now.

He sighs. "You make do with what you've got, I guess. If the court system is trying to push you down, you just fight harder. You won't survive if you just mull over the unfairness of it."

He nods. "I... I'd like you to see me. At least once. While the LOL still works." He gulps. "Um, maybe sometime this weekend...? Or maybe we should go tomorrow. We don't know when it'll wear off..." His mouth is dry. Who'd have thought just being seen would be so... dramatic?

Aww! He's flustered and stuff! Though Ivy is too in her own way. "Yeah. It...is."

"I think I understand. Still, the system seems so different from what I've studied. Then again, the system I'll be involved in will be just as messed up. Just for different reasons."

Oh great now she's blushing like crazy. "Tomorrow? It....Won't last for too much longer. I...I really would like to see you." She really does want to see him. She's never really cared about this before but this is different somehow.

He shrugs. "No system's 100% perfect. I'm not saying mine is all that great; I rather envy most of the other Americas I've heard about with 'innocent until proven guilty.' One way or the other, though, SOMEBODY has to prove SOMETHING, which makes their job that much harder." He sighs. "No system really works unless both the prosecution and defense put their all into it, in the end."

He swallows. "Gr...great! Um, maybe around, uh, five or so? We could... we could grab dinner, or something..." What's that strange pounding sensation? Oh right, his heart.

"You're right. And I don't think I could do anything less. I...hate not giving my all. But the most important thing is that the truth gets out. I think that's the most important thing."

"Ummm..Five sounds good. I'll b off of work then. Err, wait." She runs her fingers over her scedual. "Um, six might be better for me."

What? She wants a chance to slip into something nice!

Eeep! Dog just pounced her and its trying to lick her face off.

"Gah! Cedric!...Um...That's my dog!...Eep! Stop trying to lick my face off!" Yes, much struggling to not let that happen. Clearly he thinks it's play time!

Phoenix nods. "It IS the most important thing. Never lose sight of that no matter how much pressure you get for results. That's all I can say, really." Feels weird, giving advice when he's only been in the business a couple years himself, but oh well.

"Six it is, then. I... I really can't wait." Frankly, he wants it to be six tomorrow right now. But he can't exactly control that, can he?

Phoenix winces a bit. "He sounds, uh, very enthusiastic. Maybe you should tend to him? We'll have plenty of time to talk tomorrow." Assuming, of course, the dog DOESN'T lick her face off.

She grins lightly. "Thanks Phoenix. They don't exactly cover ideals in class. It's nice to hear someone say what I feel."

"..Neither can I to tell you the truth." She's smiling alot lately. Hmm. Must be the new company?

"Heh..A-All right. I'll see you tomorrow." She's trying to not have her face licked off. Happy dog!
