RP POST: Gotham at Night

Phoenix hasn't felt this good in a while.

A successful date with a wonderful woman. He hasn't been in the dating market for years; had been afraid to put his toe back in ever since the fiasco with Dahlia. But tonight? Tonight he's had a terrific time, and there's a definite possibility of a repeat visit. He feels GREAT.

He should be tired and yet has energy to burn, so he decides to check out Gotham some more. He's not stupid, mind; he keeps to the well-lit streets with lots of people, and his PINpoint is in his pocket in case of emergency. So far, however, Gotham doesn't seem to be living up to its reputation as a place of danger; on the contrary, it seems very normal and citylike.

It's getting late. But... a little longer couldn't hurt.

The grin on the clone's face grew wider as he hoisted the stunned lawyer over his shoulder. "Let's see... I can go Sicilian and cut your finger off to show people you're missing... but I hate blood." The teenager's tone was undecipherable. "Maybe I can hack off your hair, or hang that stupid light of yours out to dry."

"First you, then blubber boy, the two-tit tessie, and my disgustingly weak donator, then I am free to go my own."

Phoenix feels like a rag doll as he's suddenly slung over the clone's shoulder. It takes a minute for his words to sink in, and when they do his heart sinks into his stomach.

[No... NO! He can't use me for that!]

His movements are slow and muddied, but he still tries to get to his pocket. He's got to get OUT of here. He can't handle this guy on his own, he's already established that!

With that, he quickly flew them to the nearest portal, wishing 'Final Countdown' as he did so. "Don't even think about PINing out, or I will zap a finger off."

Phoenix's hand stops moving. He wants to cry right now. How could such a perfect evening end like this...
