RP POST: The Perils of Personal Ads
He doesn't want to take the responses, but he knows they're coming.
Well, he thinks he knows. Maybe he'll get lucky and nobody will respond at all. But Phoenix somehow doubts he's that lucky, to be honest. With his luck it's going to be some crazy person with a gun, or who is an assassin in their home dimension, or thinks the color green is really funny. Or who jumps straight to sex. That seems to be common in the Nexus.
He sits in his office, tapping his fingers nervously. Phew. He wishes he could find whoever posted that thing.
((Feel free to post responses to the personal ad here! Poor Phoenix.))

"...Uh. Well. These aliens didn't like music so we rallied the people on Earth together and the music created some odd laser type of thing." Foxx grins a little, rubbing the back of her neck. "Honestly, I have no idea how it worked either. I just follow the orders I'm given."

Blank stare for a bit as he tries to process this. "That's... um. Different?" He's trying to figure out the diplomatic way of saying "WTF," really, because really. Musical laser beams sounds like something out of an 80s rock video or something.

And she's used to the blank or confused staring going on here, "Like I said, even we have no idea how it worked. Commander Kahn gave us a reasoning but for some reason we all seemed to tune him out at that time."
no subject
"Yeah it sounds, uh, kind of weird. No offense!" He scrambles a bit. "I mean, if it does good things, who am I to question it? Sounds like you're happy with it, anyway." He really has NO idea what else to say about this, so he just sort of smiles awkwardly.

Time to change subject, yes! "I know it's weird. It helps people though so I don't complain or think much of it. Though it is a little odd when you're helping animals."
no subject
"Geez, and you help animals too... does it pay well? This dancing... motivational... thingy." Phew. Still having a hard time with this.
no subject
"Well, depends on your ranking. We, I mean the Divas, get payed more than say... Spin's group does. And of course Starr gets payed more than Missy and I do."

She squirms just a little bit, the next part a tad bit uncomfortable. "Something with my work happened, got some jail time there. Served it, nothing wrong with that... Even though I didn't do it."
And the pause before the big deal, "I had been living with my boyfriend at the time, he was... murdered one day. I was pretty much their only suspect and even though I denied it and told them it wasn't me and everything they called me guilty anyway. That's where the getting out of jail and disappearing part comes from, you know? I'm just getting a little sick of running away from everything, but I don't want to go back to jail or anything because of something I'm innocent of." Long winded, but it was necessary and did make her feel a whole lot better.

"Do you have any idea who could've done it? A friend, an associate, whatever?" It's already obvious from his eyes he firmly believes her already.
no subject
"No. Honestly, I have no idea who would have done it. I mean, Jason was a mechanic of all things, who would kill someone like that?"
