Edgeworth, do you have any idea why your younger alternate would be threatening to end his friendship with mine if he sees me or the Sanctuary again?

Apparently, if this note I got from Naruhodo is any indication, that's EXACTLY what he's suggested. Not to mention his own demand in one of my older entries.

I don't care if it's conjecture, I just want something that might explain what the hell just happened.

Perhaps all the unwanted negative attention got to him finally? He is never regarded highly in the Sanctuary to begin with, which can be overwhelming to someone who bases their entire existance around controlling everything.

Just by what you stated, it sounds like he's almost intimidated by such accusations following him into his world. Your alternate is highly influenced, which could also play part.

It's not RIGHT, though. Using his friendship as a way to control what Ryuiichi does... And Ryuiichi's so easily led as is.

If you're right, it must have something to do with the needling session he got from everybody in the Sanctuary last night. But Ryuiichi shouldn't have to suffer with him!

You are speaking to someone in regards of a person who is ignorant of what morality is at this point in time. Do I even have to answer that?

Unfortunately, Ryuuichi is the only one he can control in this situation.

From what I gather, your alternate has a few choices. That depends on his own ambivalence, of course.

If he chooses to return to the Sanctuary on his own, he would be pushing Mitsurugi to actually cut off from him. If Mitsurugi is doing so in an act of suspicion, then this would be intensified by such an act of 'betrayal'.

It seems that my alternate becomes more and more unstable with each entrance into the Sanctuary. I wonder if it's affected his work at all...

God, I hope not. Man, Edgeworth, this is just all moving way too fast for me.

Do you really think it's all that criticism? Or the questioning? He did seem to get rattled, even if he was trying hard not to be...

So it must be a hell of a shock for him to come into the Sanctuary, where they're a lot more jaded, and be questioned about EVERYTHING.

...I'm thinking I understand a little. It doesn't justify what he's doing, but at least I'm not quite so flabbergasted. But I can't help but get a really bad feeling about this.

I'm far from condoning his actions, but it must be overwhelming for him.

Beyond cutting off ties with Naruhodo again, there is not much I could see Mitsurugi doing in retaliation. Not sure if that quells the 'bad feeling' you mention...

*sigh* It doesn't, really, but thanks anyway. I feel sorry for Ryuuichi. If I'm reeling at THIS age, I can only imagine how he's feeling.
