God DAMN it.

She just sits there, like there's absolutely nothing wrong. No... I'm SURE she's convinced nothing wrong. DAMN it.

How can people like that exist? Or robots, or ANYBODY? How can people be so willing to sacrifice somebody else for their own goddamn gains? Does she even REALIZE what she may have done to that guy, taking his soul? He didn't even seem to realize what the consequences were! That... ugh.

Gant, Von Karma, Redd White... so many people willing to kill, to CHEAT, to get what they want...

Except I can't even say she was cheating entirely. "Legal business transaction." God DAMN it. She's disgusting, and she probably doesn't even know. Or care.

It makes me sick.

Is this about the young girl who was talking about buying souls last night?

[identity profile] wright-idea.livejournal.com 2006-11-06 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Talk nothing. She DID it. And the guy who sold it to her didn't even believe anything was going to happen. He took a chance on something it was obvious he wasn't even certain about for... for material goods! It's nauseating!

"I'm sorry I left. I had to. I was too angry, too upset. And I needed to make sure Lan was all right.

"This is one of those instances where I find myself hating places like the nexus. So many opportunities for ... dare I call it 'evil'? I think I will, no matter how ridiculous it sounds."

What makes it so frustrating is that she either doesn't know she's done wrong, or seriously doesn't care. And nothing we can say or do will convince her otherwise.

But at least you know why I'd left the room.

[identity profile] gabriel-grey.livejournal.com 2006-11-07 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
I do. It's the same reason Lan left the room. I might have done the same if I hadn't followed her.

Can she be stopped from doing such things, or is this a case of nexus non-law interfering?

[identity profile] wright-idea.livejournal.com 2006-11-07 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
Honestly? I have no damn clue. The sad fact is that as much as we detest what she did, there was an agreement between mutual parties here. And really, even if it turned out he was tricked, there's no law system in the Nexus that we could turn to, and because it's on interuniversal territory...

...just ARGH. So frustrating.
