Journal Entry: March 21st -- UPDATE ON MAYA SITUATION

The good news first: the man I've been charged to defend definitely isn't the killer. I asked him directly, and he didn't ping the magatama at all. Which means he's not lying about it, and therefore I can breathe easier knowing I'm defending an innocent man. He's also hired me on, which is definitely a good thing.

I've managed to gather some information which may help me in court tomorrow. It seems there was a lot more background conflict than just an issue of "Nickel Samurai" versus "Jammin' Ninja." Another potential suspect has emerged, too, though as usual it'll play into luck whether I find anything to connect her to the crime. If it weren't for Maya, I'd be chalking this up as a typical case for me.

Maya, unfortunately, is part of the bad news. She channeled Mia briefly, but Mia was unable to provide any solid clues as to where Maya is. All we know is that she's alive, but very hungry. The bastard isn't feeding her, apparently, so I'd better make tomorrow's court date count. I'm going to cross my fingers and hope for the best, Franziska Von Karma be damned.

Also, Edgeworth came back today. No idea how to react to this.

Glad your client is innocent - was a little worried, there. That could've made things a lot more complicated.

Karma - isn't she the lady with the whip? Is there any way that you can bring a taser into court with you this time?
