Journal Entry: Dec. 2
Dec. 2nd, 2006 08:00 pmIs the Nexus bound and determined to make my life as godawfully awkward as possible lately or something?
I can deal with the stabbing somewhat. It's definitely not fun being on the receiving end of an attempted murder instead of just investigating it, but I'm alive. If things had been simple, I could've simply called out the guy who did it, got some sort of authority figure on his ass, and that would be the end of it aside from the recooperating period.
Then I find out he has a kid. A pedophile with a kid. Who happens to accidentally come back with my friend during a rescue mission for the bug form of Li. Even better: the kid is himself Li, who is in turn a younger version of ANOTHER man named Li in the Nexus. Which leaves me with the uncomfortable fact that I now know more about both of them than possibly either would want me to know. It also leaves me in the uncomfortable position of finding a way to ensure the boy's safety, which in turn is going to force me to uncover some very unpleasant truths. I feel like I'm in the Nexus equivalent of a bad TV movie or something.
And to top it off, HE'S shown up in the Nexus. Edgeworth. I could've spent the rest of my life never seeing him again. Not after running away like that. The bastard.
I think going back to work at home is going to be a very nice vacation from the Nexus.
