Phew. Not that I don't love the Nexus, but that vacation was definitely what I needed after the whole mess with Kon's clone. Once I was in decent condition, I took a train out to the mountains for a little rest and relaxation. Man, I need to go mountain biking more often, though -- I don't think I realized how out of shape I was until I went a couple miles.

Still, it's good to be back. I'm just going to try and relax a little, I think. Get into the "Nexus LOL" spirit. Maybe I won't be so uptight. I've definitely got a lot of people to call, though.

It's good to hear from you Nick. You have a lot of things to catch up on, now that you're back. But I'm glad that you're alright and doing well now.

I think we need to sit down and talk sometime as well. You should get a word in with Ivy first though. As soon as you can would be best.

Sounds like it. But I've had a week to step back, relax, and think about things better, and I suspect I needed it.

Yes, after the incident in Thailand, I would suspect you needed the time to recover and reflect. In fact, everyone did, you could say. Even I had to think about a lot of things.

...Wright, go see her in person. I think you'll be happy at what you see. By the way, coming from a Chief's perspective, she's a good match for you. Don't let her get away.

Nothing like a dramatic incident to get you thinking about things, I guess. I've personally decided to stop letting people jerk me around so damn much. I like the Sanctuary, but it's too obsessed with shades of grey sometimes.

Well if you think so, I'd definitely better hold on to her, huh? I'll see her as soon as I can, definitely. I actually found myself thinking about her this past week, Mia. You may be right.

That's a true statement, without a doubt. It wasn't just the timing of your kidnapping that got me rattled, so to speak. As for the Sanctuary, I think it's meant to be a gray area, but only when people wish to cause trouble is when it becomes dangerous.

Trust me on this. I got to meet Ivy when we was looking for clues on your disappearance, and she seems like a good type of woman for you. She meets my standards, if that helps. I might be right, but it's really up to you and her. I'm cheering you on form here though, Nick.

Phoenix Wright, that's what friends are for. And don't worry, everyone will recover fully soon enough. Although, you might want to talk to Maya as well. I had to take care of her for a few days while you was gone.

The problem with the Sanctuary is that they can't always seem to tell the difference between being neutral and just being permissive. The new anti-violence field should help a little, but it's still damn ridiculous what some people will argue in favor of.

I heard about Maya being present for a pretty nasty incident in the Sanctuary, so I want to talk to her anyway.

I understand where you're coming from, Phoenix. But I doubt we can do much to change things, other than hope everything stays balanced and correct.

I heard that she channeled a spirit, started missing you, and was starving (thank god I can appease her hunger easily). But she did want me to talk to you, regarding her problems and the like.

I suppose. But in the meantime I think we need to be a little LESS tolerant sometimes -- especially with things concerning what happens in the Sanctuary.

*sigh* I wonder if she thinks I'm neglecting her... I feel terrible for having worried her like that, and not being there when that... DELIVERY came. I need to tell her I'm proud of her for handling things so well, though. And thanks for telling me. I'll keep all that in mind when I see her again.

Just be careful on how far you press certain issues, Wright. Otherwise, we might have another incident that involved you getting hurt or kidnapped...again.

I think she has a fear of the Sanctuary, but she's trying to go there and be strong for your sake. That's why she helped with the channeling, in my opinion. Beyond that, she's obviously become attached to you, as a partner and friend.

You've summed it up perfectly though; you and Maya should take some time to talk. If you need me to be there, I can do that as well.
