RP POST: The Perils of Personal Ads
He doesn't want to take the responses, but he knows they're coming.
Well, he thinks he knows. Maybe he'll get lucky and nobody will respond at all. But Phoenix somehow doubts he's that lucky, to be honest. With his luck it's going to be some crazy person with a gun, or who is an assassin in their home dimension, or thinks the color green is really funny. Or who jumps straight to sex. That seems to be common in the Nexus.
He sits in his office, tapping his fingers nervously. Phew. He wishes he could find whoever posted that thing.
((Feel free to post responses to the personal ad here! Poor Phoenix.))

So then why is Edgeworth the one at the door, waiting impatiently?

...
His brain shorts out a second. Oh God his alternate life is finally coming true why is Edgeworth answering time to go huddle in a corner and die...
kljdasjfkldasf [Get a hold of yourself.]
"Uh, c...can I help you Edgeworth?" he asks. [Please be business please be business...]

Oh, there he is.
"Wright." The prosecutor states simply, watching him a second. Normally he wouldn't have done this, but... "I did not catch you at a bad time, did I?"

Is that why Phoenix was acting more unsophisticated than usual?
The totally scared look nearly does it. Instead of laughing, Miles sighs, looking down at the papers he held in his hands.
"Well, now that you mention it.." He trails off, looking as if to be considering something, before he glances back to Phoenix with a faintly amused expression.
"I'm sure if you brought that pen along, we could work something out."

Phoenix gapes. "E...EDGEWORTH!" Oh look at him, looking all flustered and red and such. How cute. "W...we don't discuss that thing outside of the Nexus!" He's leading him on, right? Totally leading him on. He's so easily led. Like a puppy.

"The offer stands anyway." Oh now he's being a jerk. He presents the defense attorney with what he was carrying: a folder with miscellaneous updated court documents, with notes Miles scribbled in his neat handwriting. "I have a copy of these back in my office, so you can do with these as you wish. I would prefer if you read them, of course." Eyebrow raise coupled with a smirk. "..If you could possibly find the time."

He takes the documents anyway and mumbles thanks. "I'll... try to get 'em read by tomorrow," he says, looking a little like a little kid as he does. Business. A surprising breath of fresh air today.

"Good. You have my number if you have any questions." He pauses, before he leans forward a bit. Not too much, because he's expecting the door to slam shut in his face anytime soon.
"..or if you want to reconsider.." Jerk to asshole status in 0 to 60.

He goes back to his desk, trying to regroup. This could take a while.
